Delicious Buffalo Wings With A Blue Cheese Dip

Buffalo wings are a popular appetizer that originated in Buffalo, New York in the 1960s. They are typically made with chicken wings that are deep-fried and coated in a spicy sauce made from hot sauce and butter. While Buffalo wings are delicious on their own, they are often served with a creamy blue cheese dip that provides a cool contrast to the heat of the wings. In this article, we will provide a recipe for delicious Buffalo wings with a blue cheese dip that is sure to please your taste buds.

Tips for Making Perfect Buffalo Wings

  1. Use Fresh Chicken Wings: Fresh chicken wings are essential for making crispy and delicious Buffalo wings. Avoid using frozen chicken wings as they tend to have excess moisture, which can result in soggy wings.
  2. Coat the Chicken Wings in Flour: Coating the chicken wings in flour before frying them helps to create a crispy exterior that can hold up to the sauce. Make sure to shake off any excess flour before frying to prevent clumping.
  3. Fry the Wings Twice: For extra crispy wings, you can fry them twice. Fry the wings for 8-10 minutes, then remove them from the oil and let them cool for a few minutes. Fry them again for an additional 4-6 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Use Hot Sauce and Butter for the Sauce: The classic Buffalo wing sauce is made with hot sauce and butter. This combination provides a perfect balance of heat and richness that complements the chicken wings.
  5. Serve with Blue Cheese Dip: The cool and creamy blue cheese dip provides a nice contrast to the heat of the wings. It also helps to soothe your taste buds between bites.
