While Buffalo wings are delicious on their own, they are often served with a creamy blue cheese dip that provides a cool contrast to the heat of the wings. In this article, we will provide a recipe for delicious Buffalo wings with a blue cheese dip that is sure to please your taste buds.
Tips for Making Perfect Buffalo Wings
- Use Fresh Chicken Wings: Fresh chicken wings are essential for making crispy and delicious Buffalo wings. Avoid using frozen chicken wings as they tend to have excess moisture, which can result in soggy wings.
- Coat the Chicken Wings in Flour: Coating the chicken wings in flour before frying them helps to create a crispy exterior that can hold up to the sauce. Make sure to shake off any excess flour before frying to prevent clumping.
- Fry the Wings Twice: For extra crispy wings, you can fry them twice. Fry the wings for 8-10 minutes, then remove them from the oil and let them cool for a few minutes. Fry them again for an additional 4-6 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Use Hot Sauce and Butter for the Sauce: The classic Buffalo wing sauce is made with hot sauce and butter. This combination provides a perfect balance of heat and richness that complements the chicken wings.
- Serve with Blue Cheese Dip: The cool and creamy blue cheese dip provides a nice contrast to the heat of the wings. It also helps to soothe your taste buds between bites.
