Best Homemade Sweet and Salty Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. First, heat an oven to 135 degrees C.

  2. line a 10 by 15 pan with parchment.

  3. Combine the brown sugar and water in a microwave-safe bowl.

  4. Heat in the microwave for around a minute to dissolve the sugar.

  5. Mix the oats, salt, walnuts, as well as cinnamon in a large-sized mixing bowl.

  6. Throw in sugar mixture, honey, as well as vanilla extract. Mix it well.

  7. Pour the mixture onto the prepared pan, spreading evenly.

  8. Create clusters by squeezing small handfuls of the oat mixture together.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

  10. Remove from oven and gently stir granola using a spoon.

  11. Return to the oven and bake for around 25 minutes.
